FAQs

What are stone setting classes?

Stone setting classes are practical, hands-on speciality workshops focused on teaching you how to mount gemstones and diamonds into jewelry pieces.

You'll build foundational skills in selecting stones, setting them securely, and using a range of professional tools to craft your designs.

Do I need any prior experience to take a jewelry workshop?

Our classes welcome all skill levels, with no prior experience needed.

Thanks to our one-on-one format, we personalize each session to meet you where you are. We can focus on the fundamentals if you're just getting started, or target specific techniques if you're looking to advance your skills.

How long do the classes last for?

Our specialty stone setting classes run for 5 days, between the hours of 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Are materials and tools provided in the classes?

Yes, we’ll provide a fully equipped bench with all necessary tools and materials for you to start your learning.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the class?

No, becoming a qualified setter takes time and practice. While our 5-day course will help you develop your skills, you will need to invest time to perfect them.

After a year of practice, we’re happy to review the progress you’ve made for certificate consideration.

Are classes available online?

No, all classes are held in our downtown Toronto studio, where fully equipped benches and microscopes are ready for you.
